De-Facto Relationship

In order to make an application for a de-facto spouse visa, the Department of Immigration must be satisfied that:

The applicant and sponsor are living together and have done so for a minimum period of 12 months;

The applicant and sponsor have a mutual commitment to a shared life.

To satisfy these criteria, the applicant and sponsor must be able to provide detailed and documented evidence of the relationship.
